The Peakon suggested resources and actions are already supporting managers in organisations all around the world. As managers spend more time in Peakon, there is an opportunity for every organisation to guide their team-leaders with their own unique content on top of Peakon’s training content. 

You can now add your company’s custom resources and actions.

By adding your custom resources and actions in Peakon you can ensure that the training content you provide your managers is aligned with your organisation’s existing resources and best practices. For example, you can align the leadership content from your L&D platforms or other external training programs with Peakon.

Also, through the same feature, you will now be able to create company-wide actions at scale. While managers add their own actions or use one of Peakon’s Suggested Actions, you will now be able to add company-wide actions in every team leader’s action plan with a click. 

Viewing custom company resources and actions

There are two ways to view custom company resources and actions:

1. View in the Improve area through your navigation menu

Custom company resources and actions will be available in a new tab named {Company} Resources in the main Improve area.

2. View in each Driver’s Improve tab

Your custom company resources and actions will also appear in the Improve tab when viewing the dashboard for a particular driver. 

In the example below, we are looking at the Management Support dashboard.

  • Your company resources will appear in a new section named {Company} Resources at the bottom of the page
  • Your company actions will appear in the Actions section with the Peakon suggested actions

Company actions are tied to specific drivers of engagement. When these drivers are marked as priorities, managers will be able to see the company actions alongside Peakon's suggested actions.

Creating custom company resources and actions

Adding custom resources

  1. Click on Administration in the left menu and then select the Resources option.
  2. Select one of the 14 drivers the resource relates to and add a title and description
  3. Upload an optional thumbnail image that will appear on the resource
  4. Add the link to your resource and select whether it’s an article or video
  5. Click on the green Save and publish icon to publish or save it as a draft using the green toggle

Once added, it is possible to switch the resource back to a draft by switching the green toggle to 'Draft'. To make changes to the resource, click on the Edit icon.

A maximum of 10 custom resources can be added per linked driver.

Adding custom suggested actions

  1. Click on Administration in the left navigation menu and then select Actions
  2. Select one of the 14 drivers the action relates to and add a title, notes, and optional duration for the action
  3. Select the relevant language under the Localisation dropdown menu. If the action should be displayed in multiple languages, add a separate action for each relevant language
  4. Click on the green Save and publish icon to publish or save it as a draft using the toggle

Once added, it is possible to switch the action back to a draft by switching the green toggle to 'Draft'. To make changes to the action, click on the Edit icon.

A maximum of 10 custom actions can be added per linked driver.

Access control 

  • Once a custom resource or suggested action is published it will be available to all managers
  • On the other hand, once a suggested action is published, it will be available to all managers who have Access to actions enabled under the action group of permissions
  • Permission to add and manage custom resources and actions can be enabled in the Improve section of access control permissions. This is only available for administrator-like groups that provide access to 'all employees'
